Announcement on the Closure of the Kolymvari Branch
As part of the restructuring of its branch network, Cooperative Bank of Chania announces the closure of its Kolymvari Branch, effective 15 September 2026.
As of 16 September 2026, customers of the Kolymvari Branch will be able to continue receiving banking services at the Platanias Branch, to which the branch’s customer portfolio will be transferred, or at any other branch of the Bank of their choice.
This decision forms part of the Bank’s broader strategy to enhance the organisation and efficiency of its branch network, taking into account the evolving needs of its customers and the significant changes in the way banking transactions are now conducted. At the same time, the Bank continues to invest in the development and enhancement of its digital services, enabling customers to carry out an increasingly wide range of transactions through alternative service channels.
The staff of the Kolymvari Branch will be reassigned to other units within the Bank as part of the organisational restructuring.
The Kolymvari Branch has been operating since 2000, marking 26 years of presence in the local community. Cooperative Bank of Chania would like to thank its customers for their trust and cooperation throughout all these years and looks forward to continuing this relationship through the Platanias Branch, the Bank’s wider branch network and its digital services.
Cooperative Bank of Chania remains committed to continuously developing its services and customer service channels, adapting to modern banking needs while maintaining its commitment to providing high-quality, prompt and efficient service to its customers.
