Main features

  • Payroll is carried out by the Bank on the date the business has set, according to the beneficiaries and employees register

  • Two day prior to the set payroll date, the employees register is confirmed by the financial division of the Bank

  • On set date, the Bank credits the employees’ accounts with the business’ order, with no other procedure, crediting the providing payroll account with the respective statement

  • Alternatively, the business has the option to carry out payroll by itself, as frequently as it desires, by using the Bank’s eBanking

  • The program can work only if the employer has signed in advance the contract for financial transactions with the Cooperative Bank of Chania

  • The beneficiaries can choose between a payroll checking account or a savings account

Required Documents

In order to open an account at the Cooperative Bank of Chania, you will need the following documents:

  • ID or Passport

  • Recent income tax statement

  • A bill from a Public Utility Organization or any other document certifying your address

  • Certificate of employment in case you are employed

  • A current phone bill confirming your phone number
