Fraud attempts targeting flood victims (September 2023)

We inform you that there are systematic attempts to deceive citizens, using as a pretext, among others, compensation related to the devastating natural events of the last two months.

These attempts are made via phone calls, emails, or SMS, where fraudsters impersonate bank employees, accountants, tax officers, ministry staff, or representatives of government aid for disaster victims. They ask for or direct you to fraudulent websites to steal your bank account and card information.

You should be extremely cautious with such communications (phone calls, emails, or SMS) and never disclose your eBanking passwords, card details, or one-time passwords (OTPs).
